About me

I am an Assistant Professor of Computer Science at the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences, where I am leading the IT Security Labs. Prior to taking this position, I was a PhD student and Research Assistant at the Computer Networks Group, University of Goettingen, and graduated with a PhD degree in September 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Xiaoming Fu and Prof Dr. Dieter Hogrefe. My PhD work focussed on the usage of social network and trust to prevent spam transmission and reliability of emails. Prior to that I graduated as a MSc in 2008 from Technical University of Aachen (Germany). During my masters, I worked in Philips Research Labs Aachen from Oct 2007 to April 2008 as a student research on my Master Thesis about Evaluation and Improvement of Security in ZigBee medical networks under the supervision of Dr. Oscar Garcia Morchon and Prof. Dr. Klaus Wehrle.

Currently, My research interests revolve around all aspects of applied Computer Security, with an emphasis on network security, web security, mobile security and  secure architectures and protocols for Cloud and IoTs.
